I never had a laptop, so I designed with my phone-Agbontaen Aisosa Kelechi Praise

The story of Roughink Creative director, Agbontaen Aisosa Kelechi Praise, An 18 year-old (mobile) Graphics Designer and an Aspiring Tycoon.

Agbontaen Aisosa Kelechi Praise

Stories like this always have a struggling start but it’s different for me as I had an awesome childhood littered with ups and downs and equally beautiful memories from the dirty streets of Agric  Ikorodu (Where I still now).
Life always came good (Not perfect); I wasn’t born with a silver spoon but my parents gave me the best of education even when it wasn’t convenient for them. For their financial standing, they made sure I attended good schools.

Growing up, I met different people (good and bad). The devil always had his way; I was never the “good son”.  I was the most troublesome amongst my siblings, the one who brought the most wahala (problems) to the house, but thank God for his awesome mercy that got me here today. I remember in SS2, when I learnt how to code a website, I felt like Mark Zuckerberg; excited it was the start of something new.

I finished school and discovered my media passion; I was a blogger for 3 months and went later went into Social Media Marketing, did this for about a year, during which I met lots of great People.

I started graphics design April 2015; where I will just play with my phone and feel fly. I never had a laptop, so I designed with my phone and I got good on it. Fast forward a year in the graphics design game and I was already among those topping charts in Nigeria. It wasn’t easy; I had to work 24/7, have sleepless nights and stressful days. Combining Designing and School affected my grades bad but here I am December 2016, founder @Roughinkng, a 4 months old company.

My modus operandi has not changed; I’m still designing with my phone! Most people find it hard to believe that I work with major brands in Nigeria and France and it has all been God’s Grace. I can afford a laptop but I started with my phone and I am still designing with my phone!

My story isn’t over as this is just the first year. Who knows where I will be in another year from now?
I decided to share this story, so as to encourage folks. Never let your present circumstances hold you back, “Your Passion is your greatest treasure”.
